Wingman – Terms of Use

1. Agreement & Scope

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and the Wingman app publisher (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Wingman mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Standard EULA. These Terms supplement (and do not replace) the Apple EULA.

Wingman is an operational companion for pilots. It provides tools for logging flights, tracking currency, managing expenses, and accessing aviation resources. Wingman is not a substitute for official aeronautical information, training, or regulatory compliance.

2. Subscriptions, Free Trial & Billing

Products & Price: The App offers auto‑renewing subscriptions (e.g., monthly). The applicable price and period are shown clearly on the in‑app purchase screen prior to purchase.
Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial. If not cancelled on or before the 7th day, the subscription is billed at $12.99.
Auto‑Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends.
Charges: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at purchase confirmation, and for renewals within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Manage or Cancel: Manage your subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device. See Apple’s guide: Manage subscriptions.
Refunds: Handled directly by Apple in accordance with their policies.

For transparency, subscription details (what’s included, period, price, renewal and cancellation) are also available in‑app on the subscription screen and in our Privacy Policy and related terms page.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) misuse the App; (b) attempt to access other users’ data; (c) copy, modify, distribute, reverse‑engineer, or decompile any part of the App except as permitted by law; (d) interfere with security or performance; or (e) use the App in violation of applicable law, aviation regulations, or data‑protection rules.

4. Aviation Disclaimer

Wingman provides advisory tools and record‑keeping only. You are solely responsible for flight safety, decision‑making, regulatory compliance, and verifying accuracy of information before use in operations. Always consult official sources and governing regulations.

5. Data & Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of data we collect (including account info, logbook and expense content, usage data, and purchase/entitlement information), how we use and share it (e.g., Apple, IAPHUB, notifications, spreadsheets), and your choices (export, notifications, deletion). By using the App, you consent to our data practices described there.

6. Third‑Party Services

Wingman integrates with third‑party services to operate the App (for example: Apple for purchases and receipts, IAPHUB for entitlement processing, push notification providers, Google Sheets for exports, automation services, and aviation data providers for METAR/TAF queries). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third‑party content or services.

7. Intellectual Property & License

The App, its design, features, trademarks, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms and the Apple EULA, we grant you a limited, personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple‑branded products you own or control.

8. Availability, Support & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the App at any time. We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update the App (including automatic updates) for improvements, security, or compliance.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and can delete your account in‑app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. Upon termination, your license ends immediately.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non‑infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, revenues, or data, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted in‑app and on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

License: Your license is governed by the Apple Standard EULA; these Terms supplement it.
Payments: Subscriptions are billed via Apple; manage or cancel in device settings.

Trial: 14‑day free trial; subscription required afterward to continue use.
Device family: Current version is designed for iPhone; iPad‑specific layouts planned for a future release.
